The Estate

A 16th-century mill restored at the heart of the Hautes-Vosges. Three lodgings, spa, wood-fired Nordic bath, heated pool and aquaponic greenhouse.

The Domaine du Moulin de Bois de Champ

Tucked into a sheltered valley of the Vosges mountains, the Domaine du Moulin de Bois de Champ is a 16th-century mill restored with care to the local heritage. The estate spreads over several hectares of meadow, orchard and woodland.

A vision: returning to the rhythm of nature

The project was born from a simple conviction — that a stay can not only offer comfort, but also tell a story and invite its guests to slow down. Everything was designed for the stay to be regenerative: healthy materials, renewable energy, food grown on site in our aquaponic greenhouse.

Three characterful lodgings

  • Gîte de la Forêt — extended-family spirit, sleeps up to 9
  • Gîte de la Plaine — for families or friends, sleeps up to 6
  • The Mill — intimate duplex with private hot tub

Each lodging is fully self-contained and gives access to the shared spaces of the estate: wood-fired Nordic bath, barrel sauna, solar-heated swimming pool.

The summer kitchen (coming soon)

Planned summer kitchen at the Mill estate — artist's impression

Coming soon to the heart of the estate: an open-air summer kitchen under a timber canopy — wood-fired bread and pizza oven, plancha and grill, gathered around a convivial fire pit and barrel tables in the shade of the great willow. A place made for shared meals and long summer evenings, facing the Vosges forest.

A living estate

Beyond the stay, the estate lives with the seasons: workshops, activities, garden produce tastings, mill museum tours. Discover our seasonal programme.
