Activities through the seasons

The Estate isn’t only a place to sleep — it’s a place to live. Here are a few of the activities on offer all year round.

🐌 In preparation — from July 2027: an evening discovery circuit in Plainfaing, combining a visit to a snail farm and a local farm, in two options — with or without a tasting, with an optional snack or casual meal. Details and prices in early 2027.

Wood-fire evening — with the Moulin book of tales to leaf through (Friday evenings in season)

Sowing workshop in the greenhouse

Local producers’ market nearby (Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, Wednesdays)

Open to all — even without a stay

Several of our activities can be booked à la carte, without staying at the Estate:

Wood sculpture — demonstration, hands-on initiation (you take home your piece) or a full-day course, with a Vosges sculptor.
Bread-baking workshop — knead, shape and take home your own loaf. (on request)
Discovery circuit in Plainfaing — snail farm and Ferme de Xéfosse, in the evening. (in preparation — summer 2027)
Guided mill tour and local producer tastings.
Visit to the Hauts Prés cheese dairy (Housseras) — meet the cheesemaker, production and tasting.
Visit to the Xéfosse farm (Plainfaing) — discover the herd and a farm tasting.
Visit to the L’Opercule brewery (Senones) — organic beekeeper-brewer: brewing and tasting.
